My Favorite Book: The Phantom Tollbooth

I am obsessed. The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster is that book that I have read more times than I can count. Juster was a genius (sadly, he passed away in 2021 at the age of 91). He is undeniably one of my heroes in the writing world. I would highly recommend his book if you want to see a stunning example of word play. 100 out of 10 for metaphor, imagination, creativity, and overall readability. You will be so immersed in the fantasy world he created that you will entirely forget to put the book down until you reach the ending. It is a chapter book intended for younger readers - upper elementary/middle school age - but it has a lot of life lessons that adults can benefit from as well. The story follows a boy named Milo who has a lot to learn about the value of living life to the fullest and seeing things from other people's perspectives. The Phantom Tollbooth is a quick read that you will not regret! I would love to hear what your favorite books are as well! Post your favorites in the comments!
